Bonjour Strasbourg

Finally. The car is parked. The boarding pass is in my hands. My plane starts on time and brings me to Strasbourg.  Just 2 hours later we land, I jump out of the plane and rush to the exit. I can see her already waving. Another barrier to pass. And finally, I can hug my sister.

The program for Strasbourg: Quality-Time. A trip to a lake, a tour through the Alsatian wine route up to Colmar and chit-chat all day long.

The city offers culinary treats like Flammkuchen and Münster cheese. The half-timbered houses (Fachwerkhäuser) remind me how close we are to Lake Constance. And I can also polish my French “Desolée, je ne comprends pas” (I’m sorry, I do not understand) 😉

The farewell is a bit hard and we exchange a long hug – I am lucky that at my next stop my best friend is waiting for me.

Worth a visit: the cathedral and the district “Petite France”
