and currently in discussion to host the next James Bond. Who can guess it?
Of course, I’m speaking about Dubrovnik.
With its historic old town the rich city in the south of Croatia got a popular setting for Hollywood. The impressive city walls, which surround and protect several churches and palaces, can be discovered by a walk upon them. The roofs made of red tiles are glooming in the evening sun. Outside of the walls the coast falls down steeply, still some bars and cafés are located at this great spot.
The pittoreske panorama, coupled with hosting some heartbreaking movie scenes attracts a lot of tourists. Dubrovniks port handles up to 7 big cruise ships on one day. It can happen that it takes 1 hour for just 200 Meters in the old town when you are fully in the crowd.
I was lucky, in the late afternoon, the biggest rush was over and I could enjoy the city. Here are some impressions.
