Ahoi Landlubbers!!

The travel adventure started perfectly. On Sunday evening I arrived in Biograd – Croatia and was welcomed by my parents. After quickly unpacking the car it was time for the first Manoeverschluck 🙂  (In case  you don’t know this lovely tradition: whenever big achievements are done on board of a ship, the crew drinks a shot. More information on Wikipedia or you can try to get the full pirate slang here.)

At the marina restaurant we cheered to the trip ahead of us and enjoyed delicious mussels. After the long car ride the soft bobbing of the boat lulled me into a deep sleep.

On the next day we quickly did some minor shopping and finally the command  >>>>CAST OFF<<<<

Our first target was a bay called Soline on the island of Pasman. Bright sunshine and just soft wind let us pass the few seamiles in no time. Arriving at the bay we catched a buoy and then I could do the long-desired jump into cristal clear water. And this was quite refreshing – beginning of July the sea is bitter cold…

To give you a chance to imagine our life on board, you can find hereafter some key data about the ship:

• 10m long – 3,7m wide
• maximum occupancy: 6 People
• below deck: 2 bunks, saloon, bathroom, kitchen
• english design: the steering wheel is backboard  (therefore on the left side)
• 3 skipper aboard  (so it should be a really smooth trip…)
